Getting Ready For Amazon Prime Day 2019 (Part1)

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is the annual shopping holiday that’s exclusive to Amazon Prime members only. Historically, Prime Day has launched in mid-July, and 2019 is no different.  Amazon Prime Day will be held on July 15th and July 16th. Prime Day is unlike Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Prime Day deals last up to 36 hours.

The Best Deals Around

Amazon Prime Day will offer over 1 million deals which is unheard of right? Even some good deals can be viewed and had right now. If you want to check out deals now before Prime Day just click Go To Amazon and look for the early deals. Here’s a few things you need to know about this event, including money-saving tips and tricks.

Amazon Prime Day 2019 will begin at midnight (PST) on Monday, July 15, and will run all the way through Tuesday, July 16. In other words, get ready for two full days of Prime ridiculousness.

Actually, get ready for about three weeks of it, because the deal parade has already begun. For starters… Ending June 30, Amazon has the Toshiba 43-inch 1080p Fire TV Edition for $179.99, which is the lowest its ever been.

Also For a limited time, the Amazfit Bip smartwatch is down to $79.99 — not quite the lowest price ever, but very close. It normally sells for $99, and I continue to be a big fan of this product.  Just a reminder (As if you didn’t already know) you MUST BE an Amazon Prime Member in order to take advantage of these crazy deals.

Should You Sign Up For Amazon Prime?

Is it worth it? If you’re getting it just for Prime Day, then eh probably not. Full disclosure Amazon products go on sale all the time.  However with that being said, Prime affords a whole bunch of other benefits, including free overnight shipping on many products (and two-day on most others) and lots of movies, music and TV shows from Prime Video.

If you’re not wanting to pay the $119 annual membership (or $14.99 per month) don’t worry I got you covered.  Right now you can try Amazon Prime for free for the next 30 days.  Which means you are covered for Amazon Prime Day 2019.  I know awesome right and you’re welcome. 🙂 But….yes there’s always a but.  If you have already been a member or have used the 30 day free sign up then you won’t be able to have another 30 day free period.

How to shop on Prime Day

Most of us if not all are extremely busy everyday all day.  Whether it is work, stay at home parent, kids sports etc etc.  So you definitely don’t need to sit at your computer to shop on Prime Day. One idea is if you own any of the Alexa compatible devices (Fire tablet, Echo smart speaker, etc.), you can ask Alexa for Prime Day deals — some of which might be exclusively available via voice purchase.

Another option is The free Amazon mobile app.   This will let you grab deals while you’re on the go. If by chance you happen to be in the vicinity of a Whole Foods, you might be able to score an extra Prime Day discount. In 2018, Prime subscribers received a $10 Whole Foods credit. At the very least, you’ll get “an additional 10 percent off hundreds of sale items,” according to Amazon.

What Other Deals Can You Expect?

The deepest discounts are most likely going to apply to Amazon’s own products and brands. For example the full range of Echo speakers, Fire tablets and Fire TV streamers, Kindle readers, Blink cameras and so on. Amazon says to expect “the biggest Prime Day deals ever on Alexa-enabled devices.”

Of course other sellers will take advantage of the event to offer sale prices as well, which is why Amazon said over 1 million deals… I hope this helps shed some light for you all and get ready for Amazon Prime Day 2019!
