Liza Koshy: ON Becoming The Person You Should Have Been

On this episode of On Purpose, I sat down with Liza Koshy. Liza is an actress, television host, comedian and YouTuber. Liza stars in the YouTube Premium comedy series Liza on Demand and is the host of the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare.

Too often we follow a path that leads us away from who we are and Liza encourages you to release the labels others put on you, and embrace your multiple selves. A different version of you lives in the minds of everyone you know. Will you live up to their expectations, or the one that lives within?

Hello Monday

Hi, itโ€™s Jay! I’d love to keep in touch. Add me on Messenger and you’ll be the first to know about my latest podcast episodes, free courses, and BIG announcements every week! Click here:

It would mean so much to me if you subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

The term build it and it will come is false… BE IT and it will come! My name is Wil aka Hollywood Wil and I have been down, confused, depressed, lost, and didn’t know which way was up. Believe it or not watching Jay and other motivational speakers helped me a great deal. If you are not comfortable enough to talk just start watching videos until you are comfortable enough to talk to someone.

I hope you enjoy not only the videos but my entire Vlog ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. You are such a genuine real person. I dont watch much tv anymore I didnt like the way I felt when watching it. So this is refreshing on my journey of self. Thank you for all you do Jay๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hey Jay, thank you so much for posting this !! I absolutely adore Liza, this was so amazing to watch ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ You guys are both brilliant and are both great sources of light end energy๐ŸŒป This was so beautiful ! Just letting you know, it seems like the video cut out for a bit during these parts 58:5659:00 and 1:28:201:28:45 ๐ŸŒธ

  3. Jay, you have too many ads. Please stop with the ads!!!! Its so annyoying when listen on my commute because each ad is 2 minutes long and there soooo many in each podcast. So no more ads next time!!!

  4. Loved listening to Liza. She is amazing! And so are you, J.S. My dream is to come on your podcast one day. And talk like friends. But I need to work hard for that. And I'm ready for that. Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. even though jay said it I don't think she's fully grasped the impact her life's going to have on this generation and the world. Can't wait to recap her story in 30-40 years when she's recognized on the level of the quincy jones and leonardo dicaprio's

  6. Of course he would have Lisa on,she's one of the OG YouTubers who went over the hump grew with us and stayed relevant as she still remained Lisa being a positive personality of influence. He's not just about healing wuwu, there in lies the appeal..that's it,I don't come to it as a channel selling, I've always just loved the creative process, lol. And I thought I didn't make it through film school, that was the end..

  7. Jay , our life is like..We are given a body and a mind and then the whole purpose of it is to find what you are ?? To know that the mind is not you ,the body is not you..Some people are fortunate enough to know the difference and know there purpose in life but what is death??ย
Why does it have to be??ย
When the whole purpose of life is finding yourself then why does death come to you, 100 years or many more..??ย
And again why are we put back into this same form back again to find ourselves and again the same cycle of knowing what is you??

  8. Liza , you have inspired me. I love your insight on the creative process and the incredible balance of being true to yourself in the lane of judgement. Jay, this was so meaningful to me, packed with so many practical tips. I will hold onto to the reminder that will we are multiple selves/faces and that is more than okay, it's beautiful.
